A visit to a child's home by an occupational therapist-physical therapist will benefit the child in the sense that the therapist will suggest ways to ensure that the child will not have any mobility limitations within his/her environment. The therapist will also suggest ways to overcome any accessibility or functional difficulties within their environment. By proposing specialized equipment that may be needed to enable the special needs child move around his/her environment more functionally helping communication and education especially children with writing problems.
